Good points on the failure of the government mandated drinking age of 21. Originally the states themselves chose the drinking age, but the federal government thought it fit to blackmail the states into passing the uniform 21 age by withholding highway funding from those that didn’t raise the age from 18. You bring up many arguments that many institutions of higher learning are also bringing forth, unfortunately the no drinking for young people lobby in Washington is very strong. The government needs to save you from yourselves.
